Kingdom Fact

The proboscis, or long nose, monkey is found only on the island of Borneo in South East Asia. The fur of the adult monkey is bright orange, reddish brown, yellowish brown or brick red on the back.

The proboscis monkey are most noticeable for their large bulbous noses on the male.

The female's nose, though not so large as the male, is still significantly larger than other species of monkeys.
