Jia Guan and Jin Lu
A civil officer can be seen holding a minister’s hat (“Guan” in Chinese) with a stork (also “Guan” in Chinese) standing beside him. “Guan” in Chinese implies promotion and increment at work, and getting a raise consistently. Another civil officer is depicted as holding a wine glass (“Jue” in Chinese) in hand while a deer (“Lu” in Chinese) is standing by his side. “Lu” also means wealth and salary in Chinese while “Jue” symbolises official position and title of honour. Together “Jia Guan” and “Jin Lu” symbolise promotion and wealth.
